Expect ₩65,000–85,000 (about $47–60) to central Seoul in the daytime including the ₩6,600 toll, and up to ₩100,000+ between 23:00 and 02:00. Deluxe or jumbo taxis cost ₩95,000–130,000.
What time is the taxi night surcharge in Seoul?
20% extra from 22:00 to 23:00 and from 02:00 to 04:00, and 40% extra from 23:00 to 02:00. The meter switches automatically.
Do Seoul taxis accept credit cards?
Yes, all of them, including foreign cards and contactless. Cash and T-money also work. There is no tipping culture.
Is Kakao T available in English?
Yes. Kakao T has an English interface and accepts foreign credit cards for in-app payment, though you may need a Korean phone number for some features. Uber works too and dispatches the same taxis.
